One teen has now been charged in connection to an incident which saw Greenall High School in Balgonie to put its “Hold and Secure” protocols into action on Wednesday. In an update from Saskatchewan RCMP Thursday afternoon, the service announced that one of the teens was charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm, and mischief under $5,000. According to the police service, an investigation found the teen allegedly fired a “BB-style long gun” at a vehicle at around 11 a.m. Wednesday. A call to RCMP was made at around 11:05 a.m. and the two suspects were arrested inside Greenall High School within 30 minutes of the call. The accused is set to appear in Regina Provincial Court on April 8. The other teen who was taken into custody during the incident was released without charges.
