A teen boy has been charged in connection to a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in La Loche, Sask. RCMP say officers received a report from EMS Oct. 31 about a collision on Washington Avenue. Police say a 58-year-old man from La Loche was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. His family has been notified. The suspect vehicle fled the scene, police say. Following an investigation, the boy from the La Loche detachment area was arrested and charged with failure to remain at the scene of an accident causing death. The youth, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is scheduled to appear in La Loche provincial court Dec. 29.
