RCMP is asking the public for help finding a suspect following an armed robbery and truck theft near Canora, Sask. Canora RCMP received a report of an armed robbery around 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers determined a man with a weapon threatened someone and stole their truck at a home in the Rural Municipality of Sliding Hills, RCMP said in an update on Wednesday. The suspect fled east towards Kamsack, and no physical injuries were reported to police, RCMP said. The suspect is described as a man weighing 200 pounds, five feet 10 inches tall, with brown eyes and short black hair. RCMP said he has visible tattoos and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, shorts and running shoes. The stolen truck is described as a grey 2015 Dodge Ram 1500, with the Saskatchewan licence plate 247 NQF. Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area in the late afternoon or early evening of July 7 is asked to contact police at 310-RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers. Sliding Hills is located about 235 kilometres northeast of Regina and about 25 kilometres southeast of Canora.
