Regina police have charged a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, following a stabbing on Thursday. Officers were called to Murphy Crescent at 9:20 p.m. regarding a weapons offence. They found a man suffering from a stab wound. The victim told police he was inside his home when five men began knocking loudly on the door. An altercation occurred outside, during which he was bear-sprayed and stabbed before the group fled. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 16-year-old faces a charge of assault with a weapon and is scheduled to appear in Regina Youth Provincial Court on May 6.
