A quarrel between two drivers led to a police intervention last week, according to the Weyburn Police Service (WPS). In its weekly criminal incident report released on Monday, WPS said its officers responded to a fight near the Weyburn Police Station on Tuesday, Feb. 3. An investigation determined the incident stemmed from a road rage dispute that escalated after both drivers pulled over and began to physically fight. Both men suffered minor injuries and were charged under the City of Weyburn Fighting By-Law, each receiving a $500 fine. In a separate section of the report, WPS reported that on Feb. 5, officers received a complaint that an accused individual had been sending messages offering money in exchange for a victim not testifying in court. According to WPS, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of a male suspect, who will face charges of attempting to obstruct justice once he is found.
