A Thunderchild First Nation woman is facing a second-degree murder charge after three men were found mortally wounded on a property near Turtleford, Sask. on Wednesday. Officers from the Turtleford detachment were called to a rural property northwest of Turtleford, located about 229 kilometres west of Prince Albert, just after noon on Nov. 5, according to a Saskatchewan RCMP news release. Police say someone reported three injured people on the property. When officers arrived, they attempted lifesaving measures on the three wounded men. Paramedics later declared them dead at the scene. Two have been identified and investigators are working with the coroner to identify the third man. Police say their next of kin have been notified. A 25-year-old woman was later arrested in connection with the deaths in Turtleford. Madison Paddy-Jimmy, from Thunderchild First Nation, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Tonio Cantell from Island Lake First Nation. Investigators say each victim sustained gunshot wounds, and all three are the victims of homicide. Multiple firearms were seized from the property. Police don’t believe there are any additional victims or suspects. Paddy-Jimmy is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Friday. The RCMP says it does not intend to release further details about the other two victims.
