Regina police have deemed a fatal pedestrian collision on Tuesday a homicide. Officers were first called to the 2200 block of Lindsay Street on Tuesday for the report of an injured man who was involved in a collision with a vehicle, according to the Regina Police Service (RPS). Following an attempt at life saving measures by EMS, the 38-year-old man was declared dead on the scene. Police secured the area and requested resources from the RPS major crime unit, the forensic identification unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service. A death investigation was then launched on Tuesday evening. Photos from the scene showed a damaged bicycle beside an SUV in the parking lot of the Al Ritchie Ice Arena. On Wednesday, RPS said the man’s death has been deemed a homicide and have charged 36-year-old Alexandra Crowe with second-degree murder and failure to comply with a probation order. She made her first appearance by phone in Regina Provincial court on Wednesday morning. Court was then adjourned to July 21. Police have not released the victim’s name.
